As a business executive he has built performance driven teams that lead and drove top and bottom line growth. He is a patented and published scientist who holds 6 patents, authored a chapter in the PVC Handbook of Chemistry and has authored and co-authored over 35 technical papers, articles, 50 brochures and 3 websites.
Joel retired as the former EVP with Gelest, Inc. (BOD & Director of Gelest Ltd.) a privately held specialty chemical manufacturer of silicon & metal-organic materials serving high growth innovative markets, where Joel was responsible for managing and leading the business operations. Preceding responsibilities included Division V.P. IMERYS Performance Minerals, V.P. Technology Delta Minerals, Technical Director Polar Minerals and Applications Development Technical Service Chemist Huls America, Inc
Zazyczny is a graduate of Yale University School of Management (SOM), Cabrini University B.S., Chemistry, B.A., English & Communications, studied for a Master's in Chemistry at St. Joseph's University, and serves on the Board of Trustees at Cabrini University and Bryn Mawr Hospital Foundation, and Finance Council at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish
Through his philanthropic endeavors, The Zazyczny Foundation has established Endowed Scholarships at Cabrini University, Villanova University and Yale University
